An All Inclusive Vacation to Cancun With the Kids

When you think of an all inclusive resort vacation, the first thing you probably think about are the large resorts that cater mostly to newlywed couples. But here are plenty of other places out there where you can feel comfortable toting the kids along to. A great place to take the kids is to the warm sandy beaches of Cancun, Mexico.
One of the best things about Cancun, according to children, is that it is close in proximity to a rather large water park. This park is a fantastic place for you and the kids to have some memorable water fun. The park boasts at least eight water slides, a lazy river, wave pool, kiddie pool and more. One of the most popular features of this water park is the dolphin swim excursion. You and your kids will be able to swim with dolphins! You can even have your picture taken and put into a keepsake frame for you to take back to your all inclusive resort. This 18 acre park is a great place to splash and cool off in the hot Cancun weather.
Probably the most exciting part of Cancun for kids in elementary school is the Spanish galleon pirate show. This dinner and show take part out on the water in a red and a green Spanish galleon. The crew is made up of pirates wearing eye patches that act as your hosts for the evening. As your ship cruises the nighttime waters you will go below deck for an elaborate buffet dinner. Once dinner has ended the show will come to an end with a late-night battle as the two ships come alongside each other.
The only drawback to keep in mind is that this is a show that ends rather late in the evening. You most likely will not get off of your ship until sometime around 11:00 at night, arriving at your hotels all inclusive lobby around midnight. If you have younger children, you might want to consider saving this one until they are older. But the older kids are sure to love the sparks-flying battle!
If you are traveling with younger kids, a trip to the zoo is a must. The zoo in Cancun has plenty of unique animals to introduce to your toddler. Macaws, crocodiles, monkeys, deer and more await your next arrival. Just make sure to bring enough water to keep all of you well hydrated. The zoo tends to get hot and humid under all of the foliage.
